I have selected wineries which favors authenticity, close to nature and community, aware of the impact they have on the land and on the people who produce the wine.

My name is Bruce Philemon; I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa - I have always lived and worked in the world of wines, and I had the chance of tasting wines from all over the world, always coming back to my true passion for South African wines.

I am a qualified Sommelier, and WSET level 2.

Since moving to Switzerland in 2011, I was always amazed by the dynamism of new and upcoming independent wineries in South Africa, who changed the face of the wine industry in the last decades, and I decided to bring this piece of South Africa back to Switzerland.

Mzansi Wines was born out of passion for the wines from my home country - and the passion for celebrating these moments in life where friends and family gather to enjoy a good bottle of wine.

I hope you enjoy these wines as much as I do.

These talents are using new ways of making wine, far from the old classics, using newest methods to for example lower sulphites in the wines, or pesticides in the vineyards.

They all attach great importance to sustainability, ecological agriculture and, above all, corporate social responsibility.

Each story is one of perseverance, dynamism and passion for wines.
